This is a hand drawn image by John Olsen on to a metal etching plate; the next step is to prepare the etching plate, then the plate is inked and manually rolled and pressed onto a sheet of fine art rag paper, the use of traditional methods and materials on Maxe Millers antique manual etching presses yield the end result for himself and John Olsen, it’s a collaboration of passion for art by the artist and printer, these etchings are stunning in every way.
